S65 – Don Quijoto on deathbed

The dying Don Alonso Quixano, better known as Don Quijoto. assisted by a priest, a niece, an aunt and Sansón Carrasco. This last one is a caricature of Fernando Arranz, a friend of Delhez’s who had dared to tease Delhez shortly before and got what he deserved. This work was created by Delhez between the 7th of August and the 20th of October 1940, not sure where exactly but probably in Chacras de Coria (Argentina) where Delhez moved to in 1940.
