E100 – The Rich Fool
$735,87
“But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?’ “This is how it will be with whoever stores up things for themselves but is not rich toward God.” (Luke XII, 20 – 21)
The rich fool watches with glee as his harvest is brought in, for which he specially built new barns. The whole landscape exudes efficacy and order, but the threat comes from the left, because behind him death watches calmly and confidently. At the top, ravens flap in the ominous wind. They are the announcement of mourning. The trees have already lost their leaves.
