“And then I saw Katharina knelt at Sonia’s feet all night long.” The thirteen nickels lie on the table next to the candle, almost as if they had been thrown on an altar. Also striking is the feminine shape under the checkered bedspread, which Delhez took a lot of work to realize.
This work was made in Chacras de Coria (Argentina) between the 16th of September 1945 and the 21st of February 1946.
