A47 – The personal defeat of Satan

“When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth—Gog and Magog—and to gather them for battle. The Breda Catalog from which we get the accompanying information stops at A11. From this engraving we therefore have no additional information, only the bible verse because it is on the engraving itself.

This work was made in Chacras de Coria (Argentina) but an exact sketching and finishing date is unknown, Contrary to what Delhez usually did, for this series – starting from A9 – he forgot to write down the correct dates and afterwards he couldn’t remember them.
