A49 – Unknown title

“Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. The Breda Catalog from which we get the accompanying information stops at A11. From this engraving we therefore have no additional information, only the bible verse because it is on the engraving itself.

There is no title written on the engraving (Delhez must have forgotten it) so we don’t know what the exact title of this work is. The work is in a frame and there’re small traces of yellow due sunlight around the passe-partout. The work itself has no damage. This work was made in Chacras de Coria (Argentina) but an exact sketching and finishing date is unknown, Contrary to what Delhez usually did, for this series – starting from A9 – he forgot to write down the correct dates and afterwards he couldn’t remember them.
