E50 – Jesus walks on the sea
€799,00
“Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!” (Matthew XIV, 29 – 30)
The tree bent by the strong wind forms a cross with the mast of the ship of the apostles. The winds that symbolically turns against the church makes the sea go wild. When Peter leaves the ship, he threatens to be drown into the world.
This work was made in Totoral (Argentina) between the 16th of April and the 29th of May 1938.
