E66 – The lost son
€999,00
“The son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.” (Luke XV, 21)
The medieval father encounters the modern prodigal son. Through the window you see the metropolis where people lead a licentious life. Also striking is the contrast of the silent white snow landscape and the silent house with the cross. Also special is the fact that the son is dressed in a kind of tuxedo.
This work was made in Totoral (Argentina) between the 16th of April and the 18th of June 1939.
