E37 – The woman from Samaria
€799,00
“Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” (John IV, 13 – 14)
Here we see Christ coming into contact with non-Jews for the first time. He looks more like a beautiful Roman, not the well-known Christ figure. The well resembles a Gothic church style. In the distance we can see the temple on Mount Gerizim the sacred place of the Samaritans.
This work was made in Cocaraya (Bolivia) between the 11th of January and the 4th of February 1937.
